globe valve vs gate valve
Due to its compact structure, the pneumatic valve is easy to operate and maintain, it is suitable for general working media such as water, acid and natural gas, and is suitable for occasions with harsh working conditions such as oxygen, methane and ethylene. At the same time, it is also widely used because it can be quickly raised. So, why can the pneumatic actuated ball valve be filled quickly?
1. Analysis of the reasons why the pneumatic actuated ball valve can be quickly filled
Pneumatic valves that can be filled quickly include a pneumatic actuator and a valve body. The pneumatic actuator and the valve body of the product are connected by a connecting shaft. The pneumatic actuator is provided with an air source inlet, an air source outlet and an indicating contact. The valve body is connected with the pipe connection port through a nut. The valve body is provided with a ball and an “O” ring. The product has two “O” rings, which are located on the left and right sides of the ball. There is a polytetrachloride sealing packing between the balls, and the valve body of the product is made of plastic.
The pneumatic actuated ball valve includes a valve body, a valve core and a valve stem. The valve core is linked with the valve stem. The valve body of the product is provided with a cylinder. The displacement of the piston rod of the cylinder is linked with the rotation of the valve stem. The cylinder is used to control the valve. The valve can be switched on and off, thereby making it lighter, and the movement of the cylinder can be controlled by an external solenoid valve, so that the on-off of the valve can be controlled from a distance, which is more convenient.
The pneumatic valve can be closed tightly only by rotating the air source by 90 degrees with the pneumatic actuator and a small torque. It is generally considered that the ball valve is suitable for direct opening and closing.
The main feature of pneumatic actuated ball valve is its compact structure, easy operation and maintenance, suitable for general working media such as water, solvent, acid and natural gas, and also suitable for media with harsh working conditions, such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane and ethylene, etc. The ball valve body can be integral or combined.
2. Two points for choosing a pneumatic actuated ball valve
(1) Selection of ball valve
First of all, the connection method of the ball valve should be considered. The common methods are flange, butt, welding, etc. When choosing, it is mainly based on the situation of connecting pipes. The second is to look at the sealing method of the valve. Generally speaking, the sealing of pneumatic actuated ball valve includes two kinds of sealing methods: hard and soft. Hard refers to the sealing device made of metal material. Hard seals can be used in high temperature environments and have good wear resistance. The soft seal uses a polymer material, which has a relatively better seal. According to the working temperature, there are normal temperature, medium temperature, high temperature, low temperature, and ultra-low temperature ball valves. From the working pressure, it can be divided into low pressure, high pressure and vacuum.
(2) Selection of the mechanism for performing pneumatics
Commonly used include dual-use pistons, and single-use pistons. The third is to select some accessories used in conjunction with the ball valve. These accessories can be solenoid valves, travel switches, or valve positioners. Ball valves can be used in combination with many different devices.
When choosing a solenoid valve, you need to consider the requirements for explosion protection. The travel switch is a kind of signal that can convert the rotation of the actuator into other signals, and then send it to the instrument, so as to feedback the switch status of the pneumatic actuated ball valve. Switches include mechanical and inductive ones, and explosion-proof needs also need to be considered when choosing.
